Junction
Utilizing skills learned through two previous solo projects, Architecture of Time students were challenged to work in collaborative groups to engineer a multi-media installation. Working in both video and material practices to create an interactive installation, they were asked to consider the relation of time, space, and story, in both local and global issues. Using video, sculpture, sound, and performance, Junction, is the culmination of this activity and the sorting out of intersections wherein actors, objects, and artifacts assume a defined (and hopefully meaningful) structure. The collective works in Junction situate these artists as ‘structure makers’ as they interact with the viewer in co-constructing systems of meaning.
Tara Baghdassarian, Shirin Towfiq, "Awaken", Video Installation, 2015.
By merging elements of nature and humanity, Awaken (2015) considers what happens in the space between surface and depth, and the frailty of those boundaries in the world around us.

Sara Emsaki, Ozzie Salvador Juarez, André Christopher Villa, "Olympia", Video Installation, 2015.
Traditionally known as a painting, this multimedia recreation of Olympia (2015) challenges the construction of traditional and contemporary representations of identity, class, gender roles, race, authorship, and appropriation. The installation invites the viewer to consider what in these constructs (both physically and ideologically) is real, and what is virtual.

Irene Chen, Ryan Davis, Nikki Duong, Hannah Kim, Yan Shi, Jensen Young, “scopophilia/scopophobia", Video Installation, 2015.
scopophilia/scopophobia (2015) explores fetishization and objectification of the female body, emphasizing the voyeuristic nature of the male gaze and the commercial exploitation of female sexuality. The installation is split in two with the sterile and manufactured world of mass media disrupting an intimate personal setting, forcing the viewer see the intrusion from the normality of their world.
